Companion for Duplicati does not collect any personal data. There is no tracking, no advertising, and no user account required.
Companion for Duplicati stores your server address and optional security settings (PIN lock) exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to the developer or any third party.
When you connect to your Duplicati server, the app communicates directly with the server address you provided. Technical data such as your IP address may be logged on that server. This is entirely outside the control of Companion for Duplicati and is the responsibility of the respective server operator.
The app allows you to optionally trust self-signed certificates. This setting is disabled by default and should only be enabled if you understand the security implications.
The app offers an optional PIN lock and Face ID feature for local security. This data is processed exclusively on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Companion for Duplicati is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Duplicati project.
If you download the app via the Apple App Store, Apple's privacy policy applies additionally. Companion for Duplicati has no influence over this.
